Thomas O’Connor founded the BioMarket Consulting Team in December 2011. Mr. O’Connor brings nearly three decades of experience in sales, marketing, commercialization, sales team leadership, management and business development, during which he consistently exceeded targets.

 

O’Connor has held positions as Chief Commercial Officer, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Vice President of Sales, Business Development Manager and North America Sales Manager for companies such as Luminex Corporation (NASDAQ: LMNX), a world leader in multiplexing, Beckman Coulter, Inc. (NYSE: BEC), a world leader of automation in clinical diagnostics, SQI Diagnostics and Exagen Diagnostics, innovator of genomic markers and molecular diagnostics.  He holds a B.S. in chemistry/biology from State University of New York.  Mr. O’Connor is enthusiastic about the BioMarket Consulting value proposition, assisting companies with leading edge technology and passionate about making a positive impact in the evolving area of diagnostics and personalized medicine.

 

 

 

Dr. John Alsobrook is an executive scientist with 20+ years experience in personalized medicine.  His commercial background includes being a former CEO of Exagen Diagnostics where he took the company from R&D phase to commercial sales, as well as experience with large and small biotechnology/healthcare companies.  Dr. Alsobrook holds a PhD in quantitative genetics from Yale University, two bachelor's degrees in physics and in biochemistry, and is board certified in clinical chemistry / molecular diagnostics by the American Board of Clinical Chemistry.   He has extensive scientific  experience in genetics and genomics, is an inventor on 9 issued patents using informatic methods for biomedical discovery, and has authored 70 publications and presentations.   Dr. Alsobrook is also an elected city councilor in Corrales, NM.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jeff joins BioMarket Consulting, LLC with 22 years experience in medical and technical writing associated with advanced technology and the development and delivery of innovative molecular diagnostic applications.

 

Jeff has gained experience through various research and principal liaison assignments in high-complexity clinical laboratories throughout the U.S.  His career is characterized by integral roles in market research and go-to-market strategies for two distinct venture-funded, clinical diagnostic startups.  He has authored and edited research-based presentation materials for venture capital financing, marketing collateral, business proposals and reports, FDA submission, IFUs, product inserts and technical documentation for new and innovative clinical diagnostic assays and instrumentation.  As part of the BioMarket Consulting team, Jeff will also bring expertise in discovery research and lab technologies and methods corresponding to biomarker/multi-analyte quantification, gene-based assays, PCR, and proteomics.

 

 

Dr. Laura Hitt brings expertise in computational analytics and algorithm development, with specialties in data mining, pattern recognition, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, modeling and simulation.  Her experience in various forms of quantitative analysis has led her to provide innovative solutions for a variety of U.S. national defense and intelligence agencies, as well as live and work in Europe applying her skills to advances in cryptographic research.  Dr. Hitt earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Samford University.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mindy Luce, an accomplished sales professional, brings a unique style of marketing and relationship selling with a can-do attitude to BioMarket Consulting, LLC. Her experience marketing a wide range of highly technical products (from consumables to capital equipments to services) to diverse customer types (research, hospital, and clinicians) positions her well for strategic market development as well as sales and marketing consultation. Mindy holds a Master of Business Administration from the ASU WP Carey School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of California: Los Angeles.
